FAQs on Purchasing a Shipping Container
Yes they’re international standard containers. This is another way of saying that they are containers direct from Chinese manufacturers. They’re the same containers used by shipping companies to transport expensive goods all over the world.
They are the real deal – there are no containers that are better than these containers.
This is a common way containers are referred to when they’re new. It means that they have been on ‘one trip’ – most commonly from China to the UK. They have travelled here, that is their one trip and apart from that they have never been used.
That is what the industry calls a new storage container.
Containers in the UK will tend to cost between £2200 – £2500.
Prices vary – it depends on two main factors. What is the state of global shipping (you’ll have noticed that during the pandemic when shipping was disrupted the prices of things went up)? What is the US dollar – Pound exchange rate? This is because containers in China are priced in dollars.
This does not include delivery.
Delivery costs depend.
It is specific to where you need your container delivered and how far away a company’s depot is.
That is why Pay Less has 8 depots across the UK that we deliver from. It allows us to keep delivery costs as low as possible because you’re always going to get a container from the depot that is close to your location.
Shorter transport times equals lower delivery costs.
Yes, all our containers have a lockbox fitted as standard.
Yes we do everything to ensure you’re getting the lowest possible price.
We deal directly with Chinese manufacturers (no middle men) and we deliver from a local depot to you, ensuring that transport costs are as low as they can possibly be.
If you find a container in a similar condition cheaper than us – let us know and we’ll see if we can match the price.
There are 3 main reasons.
The price – we’re very competitive on pricing because we deal directly with Chinese factories.
The security – we’re a UK based company with over 20 years experience operating in the storage container business. Your purchase is safe and you can follow up with us if you need anything.
The service – we’ve always prided ourselves on friendly, professional service. A lot of our new business comes to us via recommendations from people who’ve dealt with us before.
We have a size guide page that will help you.
It also has videos of the different sizes we offer so you can see them in action.
